A Valentine’s Staycation
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. Have you thought about what you’re going to do for your sweetie this year? Perhaps you are tired of the same old, same old? Or, you just want to add a little twist of creativity and break away from the norm? Whatever your qualm is for this romantic holiday, this article will help you to create a great stay-cation right in the comfort of your own home. Yes, it is possible to have a wonderful romantic weekend getaway in your home this Cupid Holiday. Here are some tips:
Valentines Day Ideas for a Romantic Getway at Home
1.) Get dressed up in your best tailored suit or that sexy black dress and go out to dinner right in your dining area or kitchen.
2.) Order dinner in from one of your favorite restaurants or a local caterer who specializes in romantic meals on the go.
3.) Set the mood for the room that you plan to dine in. Since it’s Valentine’s Day, my suggestion will be to light candles throughout the room as well as on the table. Create a beautiful floral arrangement of red, white, and pink roses for the table setting.
4.) If you’re planning on giving gifts to your loved one, have them wrapped and sitting on the dining table before dinner.
5.) Play soft music and ask your honey bun for a dance.
Finish the day off with a wonderful candlelit bubble bath and enjoy each other for the rest of the evening.
Other tips: If you have small children find a babysitter for that evening. If you have teenagers you can get them involved and let them be the servers for the evening, but of course send them off with money to go see a movie or to a friend’s for a sleepover once dinner is over.
Don’t stress this year, with a little creativity you’ll experience the best V-Day ever without leaving your home!
