Yes, it may take some time and organization to plan a romantic weekend for a couples weekend getaway for you and your spouse, but the benefits you will gain are well worth it! Here are some tips to point you in the direction of planning romantic weekend getaways that will create a lifetime of memories!
• Determine what both you and your spouse would like to do. However, if it’s a special occasion for your spouse (example: a birthday), make the vacation all about your spouse. Maybe consider getaways packages that incorporate some of your spouse’s most favorable things to do.
• Be proactive in determining your childcare needs early on
• Determine what type of getaway you want to choose, for instance, a bed and breakfast, hotel, a cabin in the mountain, etc.
• Wherever you decide to stay being a hotel, cabins, resort, cruise, etc., call ahead and inquire about any special features for couples. For example, the Ceasars Poconos Resorts have all inclusive couple packages geared towards romance. Perhaps you’re looking for relaxation, then ask the hotel or cabin for spa packages.
• Get acquainted with things to do in the area in which you will be staying. If you want to have some fun with your spouse while away, perform internet searches on what restaurants, night clubs, or other events to go to in the area. This allows for making reservations in advance if required
• Want to set the mood while you and your spouse are spending quality time on weekend getaways? Bring items from home that can create the ambiance you’re seeking: candles, lingerie, scented oils, bath gels, etc
