Valentines’ Weekend Getaway Planning
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for planning romantic weekend getaways for a romantic vacation. This holiday of romance falls on a Sunday this year; perfect for a 3 day romantic vacation. With love in the air and proper planning this is sure to be the perfect gift for your sweetie!
The key to planning is preparing some things in advance. You roughly have 3 weeks to bring everything together.
1.) The first thing is to decide where you and your honey bunch would love to go. If you’re a follower of this website, then you know I am a big advocate for lodging in the mountains. There’s something about a cabin getaway that says “romance”. Imagine, being nestled away with the person you love most along with nature, sitting in front of a warm fireplace. Ah, it doesn’t get any better than that!
2.) Tie up any loose ends before taking off to your Cupid rendezvous! You don’t want to have to worry about work, checking e-mails, or worrying about house work or kids while you’re away.
3.) If you’re thinking of taking your sweetie to a nice restaurant, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. In fact, I would say put this on the “To Do List” for this week.
4.) Pick out your special items that you’re going to take with you. For women I would suggest packing a new lingerie and picking up a new fragrance to take along with you. For men, I recommend taking along some sexy underwear and also picking up new cologne.
5.) Think Romance – pack your love coupons, bottle of champagne, massage oils, scented candles, rose petals, soft music, etc.
Note for Men: If you really want to surprise her make prior arrangements to have a bouquet of roses, chocolate covered strawberries, and a card with a beautiful poem in the cabin upon arrival!

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
